A note from Ben

I started Kestrel in 2014 after ten years working for bigger outfits. I got sick of four-hour “windows” and bills that didn’t match the quote.

So we do it differently. You get a price up front. We turn up in the window we give you, or you get $50 off. And we take the small jobs as well as the big ones.

Do you charge a call-out fee?
Not in business hours. You get a fixed price before we start, and that’s what you pay.
Do you do after-hours emergencies?
No. We’re a small team and we’d rather be honest about it. We keep space each morning for urgent jobs, so ring at 7 am.
Can you quote from photos?
For most jobs, yes. A photo of the switchboard and where the work goes is usually enough.
